FROM GARDEN TO TABLE: Fresh, school-garden-grown, and full of love! Nothing tastes better than food grown with care and shared with joy.
The fruits of the shared responsibility of our school garden was a success! The 5th Graders started planting water spinach (rau muống) and the school community followed along with gourd (quả bầu), lady finger (đậu bắp), bitter gourd (khổ qua), elephant ear plant (cây bạc hà / dọc mùng), and eggplant (cà tím). On Feb 19, the Grade 5 class was privileged to harvest the produce and wash, cut, and cook them for lunch. They invited and shared the fresh veggies with their schoolmates. What a great experience it was! Thanks to the support of everyone who worked in the garden with tilling the soil, planting, making frames and trellis, supporting growth, and nurturing the plants. Take it from us: Plant it, grow it, munch it!
