K-K2 and Grade 5 Buddy Reading: Being read to is like being wrapped in a warm hug while your imagination travels the world. 📖✨ Reading to kids builds not just vocabulary, but confidence, curiosity, and connection. Stories create special memories and strengthen the bond between hearts and minds. When we read together, we’re not just sharing books—we’re sharing love and lifelong learning. 💛

Literacy Week Buddy Reading was an absolute blast! The grade 3 students loved reading to the little preschoolers. Books about animals, cars and planes went down a treat!

Reading with a friend feels good and fun—together we imagine, dream, and discover magic in every page. Side by side we read, and our imaginations grow brighter with every story. Books + friends = fun, laughter, and a world full of magic.

Women’s Day Extravaganza! Our 5th graders had a productive and creative day making Seaweed Roll Omelette and Cheese Omelette, and working on sewing projects to give to their moms, grannies, and the wonderful ladies in our school. One question we kept hearing: “Ms. Susan, how much is a Brother sewing machine?” I think they discovered the magic of sewing and the joy of being productive—maybe even dreaming of having a sewing machine at home! The students made scrunchies for the teachers, purses and pillows for their moms and grandmothers, as well as lunch box bags for the principal.

Today our Grade 4 students became food scientists during our Kids Can Cook event! They made their own yogurt while learning the science behind it — discovering how helpful bacteria ferment the natural sugar in milk to turn it into thick, tangy yogurt. A great mix of science, cooking, and hands-on learning… and of course, the best part was tasting it!

FIS celebrated Tết early and transformed our playground into a vibrant hub of color and tradition! From joyful smiles to the love and kindness of Red Day, our campus came alive with the beautiful spirit of Tết. ❤️✨

Our annual FIS International Day is one of the most colorful celebrations of the year 🌍🎉—promoting global citizenship, academic & digital skills, plus fun knowledge-building with flags from around the world, “Hello” language challenge, songs and dances! 👋✨
