We love STEAM Time! Not only do we learn about the sciences, but we also have fun working together while showcasing teamwork! The Grade 2 students made two Botzee robots, and had fun learning the basics of coding. We also had a friendly race! We can't wait to try out the Botzees again!
Christmas decorations! We had so much fun using our creativity to create fun decorations for our plants. Great job, students!!!
Our avid readers read a fun story celebrating Christmas: Gingerbread Mouse, by Katy Bratun. The students were then tasked to make a gingerbread house that would fit the mouse; they did a wonderful job! We love bringing stories to life in Book Club!
The Grade 5 students made Botzee whimper, race, and move about! Next time around, we will make a program for a special Botzee-Quest!
A trial run to our BAKESALE in December! We hope that you will support our charity!
On Friday, 1 Dec., our grade 2 classroom had the honor of welcoming our first parent for this year's parent activity, Ms. Kieu! Taking time from her busy schedule, Ms. Kieu and her daughter, Korah, happily read a story to the excited students of Grade 2 and engaged in a brief question and answer portion. We loved having her come by and instill in our Dependable Dragons a love and appreciation for reading! Thank you again, Ms. Kieu!
Thank you to Ms. Huong, Ms. Thin and Ms. Linh for volunteering to host an activity for the K2 classroom
Thank you to Ms. Huong, Ms. Thin and Ms. Linh for volunteering to host an activity for the K2 classroom. Students got to make cards for teacher's day. They also listened to a story and colored the book cover for a Dr. Seuss Book. Lastly, they got to cut fruits and make their own yogurt snack adding fruit and cereal to it. They really enjoyed having activities with parents!
Grade 3 made their first ever robot! We were so excited to have our first hands-on encounter with artificial intelligence! The students were able to display their problem-solving abilities while having fun and building upon their STEAM skills.
