Grade 5 and Grade 4 students have learned from a very young age that giving back to the community is how we can be responsible and productive citizens. This week, they joined forces and made over 100 cookies and milk tea to help fundraise funds to support an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. Together, they made cookies and milk tea from scratch, and made the packaging! Today, Thursday, December 14th, they traveled to our FOSCO Head Quarters and set up a Christmas Bake Sale Station. Students wore their happy faces as they walked around the offices and sold their homemade goods. We are so proud of their efforts and for raising over 10 million VND. Thank you to all who participated and donated to Grade 5's and Grade 4's caring cause. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Women’s Day Extravaganza!

Women’s Day Extravaganza! Our 5th graders had a productive and creative day making Seaweed Roll Omelette and Cheese Omelette, and working on sewing projects to give to their moms, grannies, and the wonderful ladies in our school. One question we kept hearing: “Ms. Susan, how much is a Brother sewing machine?” I think they discovered the magic of sewing and the joy of being productive—maybe even dreaming of having a sewing machine at home! The students made scrunchies for the teachers, purses and pillows for their moms and grandmothers, as well as lunch box bags for the principal.

Today our Grade 4 students became food scientists during our Kids Can Cook event! They made their own yogurt while learning the science behind it — discovering how helpful bacteria ferment the natural sugar in milk to turn it into thick, tangy yogurt. A great mix of science, cooking, and hands-on learning… and of course, the best part was tasting it!
