The Grade 5 students visited Baby Nhu Y as she recuperates at the University Medical Center, HCMC, following a successful heart procedure to treat a congenital heart condition. The FIS visitors brought gifts, well wishes, and words of encouragement for the family. Baby Nhu Y is a 9-month-old girl who received full financial support from FIS for her heart treatment. This support was made possible thanks to the generosity of our school community and our partnership with the Vietnam Children’s Fund, who selected the beneficiary. FIS contributed 36,760,000 VND to cover the procedure. From the Bake Sale, the turnover of the cash proceeds, and seeing the result of the operation, the students learned that their efforts—no matter how small—can have a real and meaningful impact on someone’s life. It was a powerful reminder that kindness, teamwork, and generosity can bring about life-changing results.
