Year End Concert 2024

What a beautiful morning! It was so lovely to see all of our wonderful FIS families gather to celebrate with our Year End Concert! We would like to sincerely thank all of our special guests, teachers, and students for rejoicing this memorable event. Thank you to all of our FIS staff for working so hard to make this event a beautiful memory for our students. Everyone's performances were so creative and exciting to watch! From the bottom of our hearts, we wish all of our graduates a bright future and continued happiness. Please remember that FIS will always be your home. On Oct. 11, 2024, FOSCO collaborated with the District 3 Fire Department to organize a demonstration of procedures when there is fire. These are: how to escape, evacuate property, rescue “injured” people, and use of the fire extinguisher to extinguish fire in a makeshift fire pit on the roundabout. Then the District 3 Firetruck demonstrated how to stop the artificial smoke on top of the building. The Grade 5 Class had the opportunity of going on a sight-seeing trip that turned to be a great learning activity. This is in the expo area of the District 1 Midnight Run 2024, directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Culture & Sports. The goal is to build a structure that can carry a heavy object. The shape, strength of base, height, and resistance to deformation and cracking were all considered by the students. There are future engineers here!

FIS celebrated a meaningful Anti-bullying event today, Sept. 27th. Hosted and led by Mr. Fred, we had a parade showing off our fun and silly outfits that meant it is okay and not wrong to be different and that we can express ourselves without fear. We also played a game to differentiate what constitutes bullying, and an activity called the kindness paper chain that served as the students’ promise to stop bullying.

Mr. Michael Xia and Ms. Vicky Nguyen from McGraw-Hill Education paid a visit to FOSCO International School. They cordially talked about current and future support, feedback about our resources, collaboration, and opportunity for training. There was a discussion about what makes a strong and effective approach to Language Arts and Mathematics. From mooncake making to creative lanterns, fruit arrangement contests, and Mid-Autumn story roleplays, the day was filled with fun and meaningful activities. 🎨🎶 The event not only captured the spirit of the festival but also enriched the students' love for the culture through dances, songs, and even a fashion show showcasing the beauty of tradition! 🌸 🍂
