Preschool had a fun Red Day! They played games and made cute crafts. Good job, preschool!

Fitness Friday was a great success! Teachers and students had so much participating in our fitness activities and felt so re-energized after a long week. Remember, Fitness Friday will be every Friday, so please wear your green "FOSCO FITNESS" shirts. Fantastic job, everyone!

Reading Buddies for Literacy Month kicked off today! Grade 3 students read to our cute Kindergarten students. They had so much fun! Reading and creating happy memories.

Our wonderful preschoolers visited the "Ho Chi Minh Museum" and were surrounded by beautiful views of the Dragon Harbor. They received an in-depth tour and were told stories of Uncle Ho. It's so lovely to see our students participating in activities that enhance their knowledge of our beautiful country's history. And, they behaved very well! Great job, preschoolers!

FIS MasterChef 2023 was a huge success. This is a yearly activity where the students can apply their creativity, the concepts that they learned, and many integrated learning outcomes from ICT, ELA, Science, Math, and Social Studies. The goals were to familiarize with food groups, learn how to prepare or cook simple dishes, be creative, demonstrate the art of food preparation, apply home economics concepts, be independent (with some supervision from parents where needed), pay attention to details, learn action words for the procedure, learn how to edit videos, design posters, explain, demonstrate or present project to an audience.  

We held our annual FIS Olympic Games on Thursday, January 12th, 2023. The weather was perfect! Not too hot or too cold, just perfect! Students were divided into colored teams consisting of mixed grades. (Kindergarten-5th Grade) with one Lead Teacher and Teaching Assistant as their coach. They worked together for the championship and were reminded that teamwork is essential for success. It was endearing to see older students helping the younger students and was a definite reminder that our “6 Kinds of Best” are instilled in our students. Working together in a strong community with a common purpose can make the impossible, possible.  The morning of January 11th, 2023, Grade 3 had the privilege of visiting Tuong Lai Preschool for special needs students.  It was a lovely trip where FIS students were given the opportunity to share their time and smiles with others. Our school donated 7 million vnd, milk, and snacks for the students. Our students gifted other students milk and snacks. Midway through our visit, we played a game together and built happy memories. On the January 10, 2023, FIS continued on our mission of spreading cheer for those less fortunate than ourselves. 4th Graders along with their teachers, Principals, and Vice Principals delivered more of the proceeds from the Bake Sale Fundraising event and parents’ donations from the Christmas period. This time the recipient was "Trung tâm nuôi dưỡng bảo trợ trẻ em Tam Bình" located in Thủ Đức. We brought them milk, cooking oil, shampoo, diapers, and cash valued 30,000,000VND.
