Our Dependable Dragons are excited to present to you our rendition of "The Story Thief!" On Friday, 19 January, Grade 2 will regale audiences with the story of the clever spider, Anansi, who brings stories to people on earth. Hope you can join us to cheer them on!

For our first meeting of 2024, students read a heartfelt story called, "The Invisible String" by Patrick Karst. Then, students learned about magnets and how it is also an invisible force. Finally, they applied what they learned in a fun STEAM project where they made a maze out of straws and led a paper clip through it using magnets. Great job, Readers!

FOSCO company B.O.D visited and gave gifts to teachers, staff and students of the International School on the ocassion of Christmas 2023.

The first week of the 2-week extra reviewing English in Winter 2023 for Preschool was a great success! The toddlers learned and discovered how to use musical instruments, decorate Christmas accessories and especially received wonderful Christmas gifts from the Board of Directors of the FOSCO Company who visited the school during the holidays. Santa came to FIS! Our Bake Sale and Winter Art Gallery for orphans in HCMC was a huge success! Thank you to our wonderful FOSCO neighbors, parents, and friends who supported our students' caring cause by purchasing their handmade treats. Grade 5 and Grade 4 students have learned from a very young age that giving back to the community is how we can be responsible and productive citizens. This week, they joined forces and made over 100 cookies and milk tea to help fundraise funds to support an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. Together, they made cookies and milk tea from scratch, and made the packaging! Today, Thursday, December 14th, they traveled to our FOSCO Head Quarters and set up a Christmas Bake Sale Station. Recess time is so fun and a great way for our students to build their social skills. Students from various grades play together and invent their own games! It's wonderful seeing our students using their creativity all the time. Kids are the absolute best!

Rin, Ran! Rin, Ran! Arroz Con Leche (Rice Pudding) is one of Cuba's famous food in which they also made a song. In class, the children learned how to dance and play with Ms. Ariadne - Axel's mother, who took the time off from her busy schedule to teach the children this lovely song.
