FOSCO Company held an extremely thorough fire drill on August 31st, 2023. The fire dill was hosted by the Fire Department of District 3 and involved two fire trucks along with their firefighters and rescue team. Participants included selected FOSCO staff, our FIS primary students, and actors as the victims. Students were able to observe how a rescue mission was performed safely. Firefighters and FOSCO staff also used the real water hose to extinguish a fake building fire. It was very wet! Welcome back to our Fitness Friday! Students had an amazing workout this morning and are extra energized for their Friday learning. Teamwork and motivation were in place! Fantastic job primary students!

We are so excited to welcome back our wonderful students and their families back to school! The day began with a nice picture time under our colorful balloon gate and the dragon dancers performed at our main school gate. Students walked in to school with bright smiles and excitement to see their friends and teachers. After breakfast, students gathered downstairs for our "Dragon Parade" around the FOSCO grounds and into our primary school playground. Our Academic Director, Mr. Jorge, welcomed the school and the Lion Dance took place shortly. Teachers and TAs introduced themselves and shared some kind words to our students...

Our academic staff had the pleasure of participating in Botzees Robotics workshop today. We learned interesting ways to incorporate technology into our students' learning and we are excited to try out these new products! Students will benefit much from this methodology, especially regarding the following: coding, collaboration, technical literacy, hardware proficiency, design process, and presentation skills. FOSCO International School Teacher and Teaching Assistants had a wonderful Reggio Emilia workshop on August 8th, 2023. It was extremely informative and provided our staff with useful tools and information on how we can approach our students' learning needs. We discussed and explored ways in which our school could apply what we reviewed in today's workshop and we look forward to our own application.
